Eat IT Terms of Service

Effective date: October 2, 2026

Service: Eat IT

Operator: Eat IT Operator

Contact: [email protected]

1. Purpose

These Terms set out the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and service procedures between the Eat IT Operator ("Operator") and users who use the Eat IT app, website, and related services ("Service").

2. Definitions

The "Service" means features that help users register ingredients, manage expiration dates, receive recipe recommendations based on available ingredients, view cooking records, deduct ingredients after cooking, and access external purchase links. "Ingredient information" includes ingredient names, quantities, units, expiration dates, categories, and ownership status. "Recipe" means food names, descriptions, ingredients, cooking steps, cooking time, difficulty, available ingredients, and missing ingredients shown by the Service. "Recommendation features" means features that generate recipes or related explanations based on a user's ingredients, preferences, requests, and cooking records.

3. Posting and Changes to These Terms

The Operator may post these Terms in the app, settings screen, website, or linked screens so that users can easily access them. The Operator may update these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law and will provide reasonable notice for material changes.

4. Account and Use

The service agreement is formed when a user agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, applies to use the Service in the manner designated by the Operator, and the Operator accepts the application. Children under 14 may not use the Service. The Operator may restrict use or terminate an account if a user provides false information, impersonates another person, disrupts the Service, creates abnormal traffic, or otherwise violates these Terms. Users may request account deletion at any time through the settings in the Service or a method provided by the Operator.

5. Service Features

The Operator may provide ingredient registration, editing, deletion, expiration date management, recipe recommendations based on available ingredients, recipe adjustment, cooking start and completion records, ingredient deduction after cooking, preference settings, links for missing ingredients, error handling, and customer support.

6. Service Changes and Interruptions

The Operator will make reasonable efforts to provide a stable Service. The Service may be temporarily interrupted due to inspection, failures, external service issues, network issues, or events beyond the Operator's reasonable control. The Operator may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service when operationally or technically necessary.

7. Recommendations and Recipes

Recommendations and recipes are supplemental information generated with reference to the user's ingredient information, preferences, requests, and cooking records. Generated recipes do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, nutritional suitability, allergy safety, or cooking safety. Users must check ingredient freshness, allergy risks, cooking temperature, hygiene, and suitability for consumption before cooking or eating.

8. Ingredient Information and Deduction

The Service may display available ingredients, missing ingredients, and ingredients that need quantity confirmation based on information entered by the user and analysis results. Text parsing, unit conversion, and ingredient name normalization may differ from the user's actual inventory. When cooking is completed, the Service may deduct calculable ingredient quantities based on the selected recipe and serving size.

9. External Purchase Links and Affiliates

The Service may provide buttons that connect users to external shopping sites, search pages, or affiliate links for missing ingredients. Product search, purchase, payment, delivery, exchange, refund, and product quality issues after leaving the Service are governed by the relevant external seller or shopping site. The Operator may receive affiliate commissions from some external purchase links.

10. Paid Services

If the Service is currently provided for free, paid-service provisions apply only when paid features are introduced. If the Operator provides paid features, subscriptions, ad removal, or premium recommendations, the price, payment method, refund terms, and withdrawal restrictions will be displayed separately in the Service.

Subscription periods begin when payment is completed. Users may cancel a subscription through the Service screen or the process provided by the app marketplace. Cancellation stops automatic renewal from the next billing date, and the already paid period may remain available until it expires.

Users may request a refund or withdrawal within 24 hours after subscription payment if no paid feature has been used and no paid benefit, such as recommendation generation or premium functionality, has begun. If paid features have already been used or subscription benefits have been provided, a full refund may be limited or only the unused portion may be refunded.

If applicable law grants users a longer withdrawal period or separate consumer rights, that law will prevail. For payments made through an app marketplace or payment provider, refund approval, refund processing, payment cancellation, and settlement timing are governed first by that provider's policies and procedures. The Operator may provide purchase-record confirmation and customer support where necessary.

11. User Obligations

Users must not misuse another person's account or personal information, enter false information, infringe rights, overload servers, distribute malicious code, enter illegal or harmful content, commercially copy, sell, rent, or transfer the Service without consent, misuse recommendation features, or violate applicable laws or these Terms.

12. Rights and Privacy

Rights to the Service, software, screen composition, logos, characters, icons, designs, databases, and wording created by the Operator belong to the Operator. Information entered by users, such as ingredients, preferences, requests, and inquiries, may be processed to provide the Service, generate recommendations, improve errors, support customers, and improve quality. Details are provided in the Privacy Policy.

13. Limitation of Liability and Disputes

The Operator is not responsible for failure to provide the Service due to events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, network failures, or external service failures. Recommendations, nutrition estimates, eating pattern analysis, and cooking instructions are reference information only. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes will be resolved by consultation first or by the competent court under applicable law.
